SELLING TO US

We buy antiques as well as sell them.  It is advisable to call first to make sure that we are interested in the items you have to sell and to make sure that the shop will be open when you plan to arrive.

We are presently looking to buy a large range of items.  Some of them will be listed and discussed here; and comments will be made about items we do not wish to purchase.

We are presently seeking raised panel shutters and moveable louver shutters.  We also buy indoor shutters.

Pairs of French doors are needed.   Wooden screen doors and storm doors are purchased;  wooden storm doors should have both the screen and window inserts.  We do not buy steel doors, hollow doors,  sliding glass patio doors or aluminum storm doors.

Decorative and unusual windows are purchased.  We are also looking for windows with the old wavy glass.  We are seeking sash with 4 panes, 9 panes and 12 panes or more.  Leaded glass, frosted glass and stained glass windows are needed.  At present we are not seeking sash with a single pane, two panes, six panes or eight panes unless they are unusual such as very large or very small.  We no longer purchase aluminum storm windows.

At the present time we are looking for surface mount locks with their keepers (also known as rim mount locks).  We also need various types of door knobs such as glass knobs, porcelain knobs, wooden knobs and Bennington (brown) knobs.
